COLUMBIA – Services for Marian Singley Dunlop, widow of Brinley George (Dunny) Dunlop, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with burial to follow in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Dunlop died Monday, April 16, 2018. Born in Prosperity, she was a daughter of the late Jacob A. and Essie Black Singley. She was the best stay at home mom and raised four children. After the children were grown and her husband's death, she returned to work and retired from the S.C. Attorney General's office. She was formerly a long time member of Resurrection Lutheran Church and more recently a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
Survivors are two daughters, Debbie Dunlop Seale (Howard) and Karen Dunlop McMullen (Paul) of Columbia; a son, The Very Rev. Father Kenneth E. (Cassian) Dunlop (Phyllis) of Umatilla, Florida; a niece, Gayle Hill (Donald) of Piedmont, S.C.; eight grandchildren: Rachel Dunlop Black (Will), Nicholas Dunlop, Leigh Seale, Ashley McMullen, Brendan Dunlop, Megan Dunlop, Caitlyn Dunlop, and Matthew McMullen. She was predeceased by a son, Ronald George Dunlop and a sister, Ellouise Setzler of Newberry, S.C.
