Mary Taylor Jeffers

Mary Taylor Jeffers, age 91, was born on July 3, 1931 and passed away on March 22, 2023. She was married to her late husband Paul Livingston Jeffers. Mary was the daughter of the late John Edward Taylor and Minnie Neeley Taylor. She had one brother, the late Ernest Leo Taylor. Mary had no children. She was a resident of Richland County until she became unable to live alone and moved to Wellmore of Lexington, SC, where she was a resident in the Skilled Care Unit until her death.

She attended the public school of Richland School District One. Upon graduation, Mary worked at Southern Bell for 41 years before retiring. Mary was an active member of Trinity Church, East Campus, Columbia, and spent many summers in seasonal home in Brevard, NC. While living in her summer home, she attended Carr’s Hill Baptist Church.

She was a friend to everyone she met and will be missed and remembered by her many church friends, people she worked with at Southern Bell, and a host of nieces and nephews, as well as the many lives she touched.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 27, 2023 at Trinity Church, East Campus, Columbia, 1501 Halbrook Drive, Columbia, SC 29209. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until the service begins at 2:00 p.m. The committal service will follow immediately at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 7100 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia, SC.
