
COLUMBIA - A memorial service for Mary Dale Lott Wilson, 93, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 3, 2018 at Eastminster Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends following the service in the parlor. A private burial will take place in First Presbyterian Churchyard. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family.
Mrs. Wilson, widow of Mr. Richard Bryan “Dick” Wilson passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018. Born in Hendersonville, N.C., she was a daughter of the late Emmett Eugene Lott and Dale Sutherland Lott Hoyt.
Mary Dale was a graduate of the University of South Carolina. She was a member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church, where she served as an Elder, a choir member, a Stephen Minister, and Moderator of the Women of the Church. She was previously a member of First Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of Junior League since 1956, Driftwood Garden Club, and Evening Music Club. Mary Dale lived a long and beautiful life in service to others.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, Mary Dale is survived by daughters, Catherine McGregor Wilson Burke (Andy) of Louisburg, NC, Laura Lee Wilson Rose of St. Helena Island and Dale Wilson Hatchell (Jim) of Lexington; ten grandchildren, Michael Burke (Janet), Catherine Burke Hart (Steve), Richard Wilson, Christopher Wilson, Stephen Wilson, Gregory Wilson, Caroline Wilson, Sam Floyd, Elizabeth Hatchell Burt (Travis), and Bryan Hatchell; great-grandchildren; Amanda, Catherine, Lauren, Jacob, Logan, Clara, Sarah Beth, Lilly, and Cannon; and great-great-grandchildren, Audrey and Millie.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Richard Bryan Wilson, Jr.
