COLUMBIA Graveside service for Mildred Lucille Hedden, 91, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2014, in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family. Mrs. Hedden died Friday, December 12, 2014. Born in Aberdeen, N.C., she was a daughter of the late George and Daisy Allen Hilliard. A resident of Columbia since 1964, she was a longtime member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed spending time with her neighbors, gardening and tending her flowers. An avid reader, she enjoyed birdwatching and interior decorating. Surviving are her sons, David T. Hedden (Jane), John P. Hedden Jr. (Rosemary), all of Columbia; grandsons, Aaron Moore and John Michael Hedden; and beloved dog, Dusty.
