

COLUMBIA Mr. Milton Earl “Bill” Malone, 93, passed away Friday, December 19, 2025. A native of Belton, S.C., Bill was born on March 10, 1932, to Earl and Minnie Malone. Following graduation from Belton High School, Bill joined the U.S. Air Force and was stationed all around the country and overseas, retiring as Senior Master Sergeant after 25 years of dedicated service.
After retirement, Bill worked at McEntire Air Force Base for the Civil Service, retiring after 20 years. While working at McEntire AFB, Bill managed the NCO (Falcons Nest), entertaining and serving military personnel after work and returning from long overseas deployment.
Bill was a former commander of the Shriners Flying Feezes, flying burned children and the families to the burn center for treatment. In addition, Bill was a Master Mason at the Lower Richland Lodge 406 and also was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite lifetime member. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 641. In Columbia, he was a former member of the 4 Aces motorcycle group, where he enjoyed fun and friendship, traveling with family and good friends, usually ending up in Surfside Beach, S.C.
He was married to the love of his life, Mary Alice Malone, for 69 years until her passing in 2021. He is survived by his children, Lori A. Livingston (Gerald), Vicki Hunter (David), Jana Jones (Eddie), Greg Malone (Anna); grandchildren, Chantley Rye, Marla Rye, Candice Livingston, Chad Hunter, Eli Hunter, Makayla Malone, Cody Malone, Sarah Shaw, Amanda Shaw, Bradley Shaw, Sabrina Smith; 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Bill will be missed by family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with burial with military honors in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
