Nan Sigmon Wheeles

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Dunbar Funeral Home- Devine Street Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A private family burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Wheeles was born November 21, 1942 in Tampa, Fla., A long time resident of Columbia; she was a 1960 graduate of Dreher High and Winthrop College. Nan will be remembered for her electric personality and the kindness she showed to others.

She was predeceased by her husband: Levins Ernest Redd and parents, William Glenn and Katie Belle Davis Sigmon, a daughter, Susan Harper Redd. Survivors include her daughters: Katie Redd Evatt, (Jim), Mary Jennifer Redd-Lovette (Elisa), grandchildren: Rachel Harper Evatt, Molly Raye Evatt, Elle Hester Lovette, Shane Edward Cleary, twin sister, Mary Sigmon Marlowe (Bobby), nieces and nephews,ex husband, Jerry Wayne Wheeles and her beloved cat, Lily.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Nan’s memory to the animal shelter of your choice.
