Nancy and I were treated for different cancers at the same time last year. She was always so supportive and encouraging. I am deeply grieved by her passing and was grateful that her funeral service was live streamed so that I could attend.

Sunday started with a downpour to mourn your passing, but the sky turned bright blue for your entry into heaven. I know heaven is more colorful because of your presence. Thank you, Nancy, for your kindness and friendship. My sympathies to Zane, Jill, Bo and your grandchildren.

Love,
Ann Marie

Nancy was one in a million, she always had a smile and was always wanting to help others. My granddaughter and I shared many days with Nancy the boys and Bo at CEC on the half days from school. She always made sure that Kaleigh and my grandsons had as much as the boys did. Sometimes she and I would play a game or two. Her smile will be missed but I cherish the memories that we had together through the years.

May God welcome you with open arms as you enter his kingdom. I have such wonderful memories of you as we both worked with JSN together. You had such a good heart and fun-loving spirit. Thanks for being part of my life for a short time...you were loved and appreciated. You can now be an angel organizing in heaven...Blessed be, Nancy.

Our deepest condolences to Zane, Jill, Bo and the grandkids. Nancy touched a lot of lives in a lot of ways, and she will be missed by all who know her.
We would see Miss Nancy mostly at the company Christmas parties or occasionally when she came by Devine Street. We had a running dialogue: every Christmas party, Nancy would find me, bend in close, and remind me that she really needed a raise. I promised to look into it, and get it taken care of.
God bless you, Mrs. Abernethy. Rest in peace.

I was greatly saddened to hear of Nancy's passing. My prayers are with you Zane, Bo and Jill. I have many great memories of working with Nancy taking the youth from Centennial A.R. Presbyterian Church to Bonclarken. She was a terrific lady and I am sorry I cannot be there today with you as you celebrate her life.

Dear Zane, Jill, and Bo

Nancy and Zane have been in my life since grade school. Many years passed and I moved away from Irmo in 1995.

Then the day after I gave birth to my son at Baptist hospital in 2001 I was in the nursery with him. I look up and there are Nancy and Zane. I'll never forget the big smile Nancy had. That Nancy smile! They were waiting for the birth of their first grandson. What are the odds?! Truly one of my fondest memories.

I pray God will lift all of you up through this sad time. You're in my thoughts and prayers.

Nettie (Nancy) was my forever friend! Oh how I loved our talks and texts! She loved watching her birds and feeding them each day. She loved her dogs! She loved her family and friends with all her heart! She always said how happy she would be in Heaven! Those of us who loved her will miss her dearly. What a comfort to know that she is resting in the arms of Jesus!
Love, Myrt.
