COLUMBIA - Phil Banks went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 21st. Funeral service will be held at 2pm Sunday, May 24, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with burial in Elmwood Mausoleum. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Born in Columbia, Phil was the son of Lois Kyall Banks and the late Leo Banks. He worked as an electrician and mostly recently for H.R. Allen Electrical Contractors. He was a member of Dentsville Baptist Church. Phil was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors. Surviving are his mother and son, Halston, of Columbia. Also, brothers and their wives, Jeff and Jamee of Lexington, Greg and Gena of Blythewood; nieces and nephews, John and Jennifer Price of Gilbert, Jillian of Lexington, Aaron and Hayden of Blythewood. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Connie Maxwell Children’s Home, P.O Box 1179, Greenwood, SC 29648.
