Robert Belton Strickland Jr.

COLUMBIA - Graveside service for Robert Belton Strickland Jr, 94, will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2021, in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street, is assisting the family.

Mr. Strickland peacefully passed Thursday, January 14, 2021. Born in Columbia, S.C., he was a son of the late Flossie and Robert B. Strickland Sr. He joined the United States Navy in February 1945, and faithfully served until April 1949. He was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church. He was also a Past Master of the Pacific Masonic Lodge No. 325 in Columbia, S.C.

Surviving family members include his son, Robert B. Strickland III (Patsy) of Pawleys Island; four grandchildren, Robert B. Strickland IV (Christine) of Myrtle Beach, Allyson Banta (Joel) of Pawleys Island, Gray Ladd (Leigh) of Columbia, Graham Ladd of Beaufort; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Ed Strickland (Dorothy) of Columbia. He was predeceased by a son, William Keith Strickland, and three sisters, Margaret Wrigley, Doris Strickland, and Regina Anderson.
