Robert F. “Bob” Torok

Celebration of Life Services will be held in both Columbia, SC and Brookfield, OH at a later date.

A native of Brookfield, Ohio, Robert was born February 1, 1943 to Joseph Torok and Helen Gyori Torok. He was a devoted husband, wonderful father and loving Papa.

He graduated in 1961 from Brookfield High School, Brookfield, Ohio. You could always find him in front of the TV every Sunday watching his favorite NASCAR race. He had been a fan for over 50 years.

He was a master painter and auto repairman all of his hard working life. Many of his friends nicknamed him Columbo as he would always have a cigar.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Edna Mae Williams Torok, whom he married on September 19, 1964; brother, Joseph A. Torok and partner, Georgia Ann Phipps. Survivors include his son, Robert Torok Jr. (Linda) of Brookfield, Ohio; daughter, Rebecca Roberts (Ernie) of Holden Beach, NC and daughter, Rachel Torok (Dan) of Matthews, NC.; granddaughters, Hollie Torok, of Pittsburgh, PA, Ashli Torok Wright (Randall) of Matthews, NC, Miranda Torok of Hubbard, Ohio and Marissa Torok of Farrell, PA.; great-grandchildren, Jordon Farzati, Landyn Curtaccio and Amiyah Cathey.

The family is deeply grateful of those who helped in the care of Robert in the last few years, especially personal friends, Charlotte and Charlene and the staff at Columbia Northeast Dialysis Center.
