

COLUMBIA - A funeral service for Robin Wiscovitch, 100, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with burial in Fort Jackson National Cemetery at 12:00 noon. The family will receive friends after the burial at the home of Robin Wiscovitch.
Mr. Wiscovitch died Saturday, January 29, 2022. Born in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico, he was one of 14 children of the late Pedro Javier Wiscovitch and Alejandrina Wiscovitch. He was a graduate of Columbia Commercial College. For 38 years, he served in the U.S. Army, serving during WWII and the Korean War, and retiring as Sergeant First Class. He received the Department of Army Service Award in recognition of his service to his country. Robin also worked in civil service at Fort Jackson for 16 years. A believer in Jesus Christ, he faithfully read his bible each day. He was a member of Ravenwood Baptist Church for over 40 years and attended North Trenholm Baptist Church.
Surviving are his two daughters, Sherry Anderson (Clif) of Columbia, SC, and Michelle King (Michael) of Hartsville, SC; two sons, Robin Wiscovitch (Ursula) of Jacksonville, FL, and Javier Wiscovitch (Sue Ellen) of Baytown, TX; nine grandchildren, Jordan Lee Anderson (fiancée, Kendall), Jennifer Self (Austin Wayne), Shelby King, Bradley King, Melissa Bickimer (Michael), Lee Wiscovitch, Harvey Wiscovitch, Russell (Marjorie) Wiscovitch, and Robin Wiscovitch; four great-grandchildren; sister, Nancy Wiscovitch Pagan; and brother, Waldemar Wiscovitch Pagan.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by 11 of his brothers and sisters, and his wife Mary Sue Cline Wiscovitch.
