Born on March 17, 1921 in Lugoff, she was a daughter of the late Fletcher Randolph Martin and Julia Campbell Martin. She was a Civil Service Employee 42 years. She worked in the Torpedo Plant during World War II in Alexandria, Virginia. When she moved back to Columbia she was employed at Fort Jackson Quarter Master Laundry as an office clerk and eventually worked her way up to become a supervisor. Her Christian Faith was a constant in her life. She provided her family with a living example of obedience to God’s word and unconditional love. She was a kind, gentle, woman with a loving spirit. To know her was to love her. She loved music, especially Gospel and Country. She never took music lessons but could sit down at the piano or organ and play whatever song was in her head at that time. Surviving are her children, Dianne Holthaus, Everett “Bubba” Goff, Jr. both of Hopkins, and Nadine Bradley (George) of Columbia; seven grandchildren, Ward (Allyson), Jason (Dawn), Leanne (Chris), Lynette (Mike), Everette (Serandy), Jerry (Sherry), Angie (Mike), and Michael; eleven great-grandchildren, Declan, Michaela, Mackenzie, Nicholas, David, Katelyn, Hannah, Seth, Kit, Chase, and Cameron; and last, but not least, her faithful four-legged companion, Rosie. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Oliver E. Goff; her second husband, Almond C. Judd; sisters, Elizabeth Tucker, Emma Spires, Mattie Higgins, and Edna Poe; and brothers, Fletcher Martin and Neze Martin. The family wishes to thank Palmetto Health Hospice Home and Hospital Care, Dr. Elaine Roque-Nazario of Palmetto Senior Primary Care and Dr. Robert Schulze of Columbia Heart, for all their expert care and kindness. Memorials may be made to Mt. Elon Baptist Church, 718 Mount Elon Church Roadd, Hopkins, SC 29061. Please sign the online guestbook at www.dunbarfunerals.com. ~
