Shirley Braswell Wessinger

CAYCE - A funeral service for Shirley Braswell Wessinger, 81, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 28, 2016, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the chapel. Shirley passed away Thursday, February 25, 2016. Born in Dodge County, GA , she was the daughter of the late Alvis H. Braswell and Nettie M. Braswell. She was employed by Fidelity Insurance Company, USC Printing, and SC Surplus Property. Shirley was an avid bowler and three time vice president of the SC Women's Bowling Association Board of Directors. She was also secretary of the Greater Columbia Bowling Association for many years and was inducted in the SC Bowling Hall of Fame in 1988. Shirley was a member of First Baptist Church in West Columbia. Surviving are her son, Terry M. Wessinger (Barbara); and grandsons, Myles A. Wessinger, Trenton G. Wessinger, and Sterlyn M.
