A Columbia native, he was born on August 7, 1961, to Carlos A. Salter and the late Martha Dehon Salter.
Lee held a lifelong passion for Gamecock’s sports and enjoyed attending football, basketball, and baseball games. He attended Saint Michael Episcopal Church, where he found solace in Bible study and sought to follow the teachings of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Lee was a graduate of AC Flora High School and was a talented guitar player.
In addition to his mother, Lee was preceded in death by his baby sister, Helen Roberta Salter. Survivors include his father, Carlos Salter, two brothers, Carl Salter and Teddy Salter (Connie) and two nieces, Betsy Salter and Abby Burdette.
In lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the charity of one's choice in honor of Lee's memory.
A private graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
