Susan Fite Zeller

Columbia- A service to celebrate the life of Susan Fite Zeller, 66, will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place 12:00 pm Monday, July 16, 2018 at Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte, N.C.

Mrs. Zeller was born May 22, 1952 in Monroe, NC to the late Giles and Margie Baker Fite. Susan grew up in Atlanta and was a graduate of DeKalb College. She was a perfectionist, a woman of many talents and passions. By trade, she was a secretary who served in many positions including as a secretary to Gov. John West, and to her husband, David Zeller at their business, Columbia Auto Spring Company. Her hobbies included showering everyone with gifts, planning parties and she was a professional amateur photographer. She was a former Director of Cinderella Pageants and Fashion Two Twenty, reaching a Top Sales Position in the company. She held a strong faith in God and was a great Prayer Partner, Wife, Mother and Grandmother. The love of her family was shown through her volunteer efforts with various school projects, March of Dimes, Angel Tree, Prison Fellowship and AmVet Cupids.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 46 years, Charles David Zeller, her siblings, Robin Fite (Myra), Vance Fite (Teri), Sherrie Fite Smith (Nigel), her children, Shawn Gordon (Scottie), Kesha Shaw (Matthew), Christopher Zeller, nine grandchildren, Heather Newcomb, Amber Howell (Jamie), Elizabeth Newcomb, Charlie Gordon, Gigi Gordon, John Wayne Gordon, Emma Shaw, Chloe Shaw, Lily Shaw, four great-grandchildren, Christina Young, Levi Young, Hollie Mae Howell and Brantley Howell.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
