Thomas Sizemore

Thomas Sizemore of Columbia, South Carolina passed away on May 12, 2023. Born in Virginia Beach, VA, he was a son of the late Elmer Clarence Sizemore and Margaret Louise Williams Sizemore. A graduate of Cardinal Newman High School, he was a carpenter for 25 years and was the owner of Sizemore Construction.

Tommy lost his battle with lung cancer after 2 years. Despite spending a lot of time in the hospital, he never lost his sense of humor. Tommy held many titles in his life, but his favorite was Papa T. He always loved spending time with his children and 12 grandchildren. Tommy loved to help anyone he could without question. In his words, “Do something good and don’t get caught.” An avid Clemson fan when they won and because of family and Jacksonville Jaguars fan, he enjoyed sports and gambling.

He is survived by his wife, Terry Sizemore; his eight children, Amanda Atkinson (Aaron), DJ Davis, Ryanne Craft (Vince), Meagan Mallery (Jarod), Katelyn Murphy, Kristen Davis, Jacob Sizemore, and Savannah Sizemore (Bernard); 12 grandchildren; and his brother, James Sizemore (Esther).

The family wishes to thank Agape Hospice, especially his nurse Crystal, for the excellent care they provided to Tommy.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel.
