Thomas "Tony" Anthony Byars Sr. died Thursday, September 5, 2024. Born in Columbia, SC, he was the son of the late Thomas and Faye Byars. He graduated from Spring Valley High School and worked as an auto mechanic. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his two children, Amanda “Mandy” (John) Guffey and Thomas "Tommy" (Mariea) Byars; grandchildren, David Guffey, Isabella Guffey, Hunter Byars, and Lily Byars; sisters, Tammy (Randy) Pugh and Kimberly Byars Church; and nieces/nephews, Jayme Pugh, Jase Pugh, Alexis "Lexi" (Brad) Church/Pasker, and Ryan Church.
Per Tony's request, no funeral or memorial service will be held.
