COLUMBIA - Funeral service for William Grayson Scarborough, 71, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June, 24, 2015, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. The family will receive friends from 9:45 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Scarborough died Sunday, June 21, 2015. Born in Newport News, Va., he was a son of the late Violia Hollifield and William Vance Scarborough. A graduate of NC State University in 1965, he was a member of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. He retired in 2007 as a salesman in business office equipment. He was an avid Wolf Pack and Gamecock fan and enjoyed collecting model railroad trains. Mr. Scarborough enjoyed watching sports and loved gatherings with friends and family. He was a loyal and loving husband. Surviving are his wife, Irene Berry Scarborough; niece, Anne W. Yates (Timothy) of Helena, MT; several great nieces and nephews.
