

Concord, NH – Ann Louise (Harmon) Davenport, 81, longtime resident of Concord, passed away on June 1, 2025, at the Granite VNA Hospice, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 31, 1943, to her late parents Stanley and Barbara (Lavigne) Harmon in Portland, ME. Ann was raised and educated in Portland and graduated from Deering High School with the Class of 1962. Shortly after high school, she married the love of her life John Davenport on July 20, 1962, in Portland. Ann’s smiling face graced the halls of the Concord Hospital for over 30 years where she worked in the billing department until her retirement.
Ann was known as a selfless, kind, and caring soul who would help those who were less fortunate than herself. She enjoyed the many simple pleasures in life, playing bingo, cribbage and arts and crafts. Ann also loved spending time at the beach, the lake, and time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was also very proud of her membership in the Red Hat Society, an organization that supports women’s creativity and empowerment. Ann touched many lives in many different circles, and she will fondly be missed, cherished, and loved by all.
Ann, who was the beloved matriarch of her family, is survived by her three children, her daughter Cindy L. King and her husband John of Derry, her son John Davenport of Concord, and her son Scott Davenport and his wife Wendy of Portsmouth. She is also the cherished grandmother to her eight grandchildren, Alex, Cameron, Brooke, Hunter, MacKenzie, Austin, J.J., and Megan and great-grandmother to Freya and D.J. Ann is also survived by her brother Bob Harmon and her sister Debi Parker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death in October 2015 by her dear husband John Davenport, with whom she celebrated 53 years of marriage together. Ann was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Donald Harmon and David Harmon.
Visitation for Ann will be held on June 11, 2025, from 3 – 6 PM at the Bennett Funeral Home, 209 North Main Street, Concord. Friends and family are cordially invited to attend. A funeral service will be at the held the funeral home on June 11, 2025, at 6:00 PM.
