Anna M Connor

Anna Mae Connor, formerly of Fort Worth, TX, and Danvers, MA, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 27, 2026, at age 96. She was the daughter of Edmund and Adelaïne (Gudat) Buehrig. She was a devoted member of Our Lady of Victory and St. Ignatius Academy before graduating with a Bachelor of Science from Texas State College for Women.

Anna worked in the administrative offices of Gulf Oil in Fort Worth. She met U.S. Air Force serviceman Malcolm William Connor of Massachusetts while in Fort Worth, and they later married. They moved to Chicago while Malcolm attended dental school, welcoming their first daughter.

The family later moved to Danvers, MA, where Malcolm began his dental career. During that time, Anna was a supportive partner in his career and also worked as a records secretary at Hogan Regional Center. They raised six children. Anna was involved in fencing and won the Texas State Fencing Championship in college. She enjoyed skiing trips to Mt. Whittier, summer vacations at Rangeley Lakes, and time at the ocean. She raised her family in faith, all baptized and confirmed at St. Mary of the Annunciation in Danvers.

In 1979, Anna returned to Fort Worth with her three younger teenage children. She settled next door to her mother, lovingly raising her teenagers while serving as primary caregiver for her mother until her passing at age 100. Anna worked for 13 years as an accountant, balancing the budget for the Aeronautical Department of Lockheed Martin. She traveled continuously across the country to stay close to her children's expanding families.

At age 77, she returned East to be near them permanently. Two words that most describe our mother are grace and sweet. Anna loved gardening, setting beautiful tables, listening to birds, and taking tropical winter trips to Hawaii with her daughter Margaret.

She is survived by her children and their spouses/partners: Theresa and James McGinness; Michael Connor, and daughter-in-law Nola Connor, Peter and Corinne Connor; Mark and Kristin Connor; Margaret Connor and Luna Hauanio; and Patrick and Stacy Connor; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers and their spouses, James and Jerrie Buehrig, and Wayne and JoAnn Buehrig. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Corinne Connor.
