Betsy Ross Delevan
October 26, 1925 – September 30, 2020
Betsy Ross Delevan (born October 26th, 1925) passed away on September 30th, 2020.
She is survived by her children: Peggy Moses, Timothy Delevan, and Caleb Delevan, sister Gayle Lent, daughter-in-law Sally and her beloved grandchildren: Sheri Redcloud-Owen, Tracey Farrigan, Sarah, Aerum and David Delevan and great-grandchildren: Elias, Kyle, Amber and Gabriel.
Betsy was a truly loving and generous person, her attitude and personality overflowing with the joy of life and love for others. She was always ready to tell a joke, fill a need, or give a hug. True to the end, she was full of gratitude and grace, confident in her faith that we will meet again, blissfully, on the other side. Thank you, Betsy, for all the joy and laughter, for teaching us, loving us, and being a vital part of our lives.
An intimate graveside service will be held on October 24th at 2:00 pm at Blossom Hill Cemetery.
To honor Betsy’s memory, in lieu of flowers, her family hopes that you would do an unexpected and unsolicited act of kindness to uplift another.
A gathering to celebrate her life will take place next year.

Betsy was a very kind sweet person that always cared about others and looking out for what she could do to help others. She was always so sweet and was always smiling. She blessed my husband with work before we were dating that helped him pay the bills.
Betsy would always ask Richard who he liked in the church and Richard would always talk about me. She and Caleb had told Richard to come over one day and when he showed up in work clothes she said that wouldn't do. They brought him back to his place and made him change into dress clothes. They took him to a church function on the Mount Washington dinner crews. When I showed up they pointed me out to him and had him get me to sit with them. We ended up spending most of the crews together because of Betsy . We are celebrating our 11th wedding anniversary together this October 23rd.
Our family will miss her greatly. I know she will be watching over friends and family waiting for the day to be reunited. What a blessing it was and is to know her.

One of the things my husband and I appreciated about Betsy was the love and concern she showed our family, especially my children. She always asked about them and was excited about their accomplishments. She was so thoughtful, always thinking about something they might want or need. When she found out my daughter, Mary Alice, loved horses, she gave her a horse calendar every year from the time she was about six-years-old until she left on her mission (age 19)! Once she gave her an old violin, which we had repaired and our daughter still plays, along with the violin my father gave her. (Betsy told us she played the violin, too!) I'm grateful I could be her "ministering sister" for over 20 years and for her kind, loving example!

I will remember her charming wit, bright smile, laughter, and sweetness. I'll miss hearing the "Hi ya, honey; got any jokes for me?" greeting she always had for me. She was a very special soul. Love you, Gram. - Laura

I remember when Betsy first moved to Concord and joined our little Concord Branch on Iron Works Rd. She was so talented and outgoing and made friends with everyone! I loved her artwork and her willingness to share her talents of every kind with others. I remember how she was always trying to find ways to serve others and meet their needs. She was a woman who left a lasting impression on those she touched. May all her loved ones be comforted at this time and find peace in the knowledge that she is reunited with her loved ones and with the Lord.
