Beverly Louise Naylor

Beverly was born in Concord on August 22, 1929, the daughter of the late Richard J. Datson and Beatrice (MacDonald) Datson. She was raised in Concord and attended Concord schools, graduating from Concord High School in 1947. She also attended Plymouth Teachers College. Prior to her marriage, she worked as a bookkeeper for Greenlands. Beverly married Robert C. Naylor of Concord in October of 1952 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.

Beverly raised three boys and was the consummate homemaker. She was an exceptional seamstress. At various times she tutored inmates at the state prison, volunteered at school libraries, and worked at the thrift shop at her church. She lovingly supported her sons in all their schools and sports and activities. She had a marvelous sense of humor, and her timing and delivery were always perfect. Her skill with crossword puzzles and Sudokus was second to none. Beverly was an animal lover, and in particular she loved and treasured all her cats.

Beverly is predeceased by her parents; her husband of 49 years, Robert C. Naylor; brothers John P. Datson and Robert C. Datson; and her sister Diane Osborne.

Beverly is survived by her sons, Stephen of Concord; Mark and his wife Debra of Concord; and David and his wife Beth of Concord. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Erica Perkins of Concord; Dylan Naylor of Auburn; Robert Naylor of Concord; and Crystal Naylor of Portsmouth and her partner, Jesse Utoh. Also surviving her is her great-granddaughter, Noelle Utoh of Portsmouth. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to Beverly’s favorite charity, Pope Memorial SPCA, at 94 Silk Farm Road, Concord NH, 03301.

Calling hours will be held at the Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N Main St, Concord, NH 03301 on Friday, October 29, 2021 from 12PM to 1PM, followed by a graveside service at Blossom Hill Cemetery, 207 N State St, Concord, NH 03301. The family would like to ensure a safe celebration of Beverly’s life, and requests that masks be worn during the calling hours as well as at graveside.
