Charity C Lane

Charity Lane, 87, of Concord, NH, formally of Hopkinton, NH passed away January 3, 2025. Charity was born March 5, 1937, in Mechanicville, NY, the third of four children to the late Jay A. and Charity (Blanchard) Curtis. Charity grew up in Brattleboro, Vermont and graduated from Brattleboro High School, Class of 1955.

Charity married Leighton E. Lane on November 29, 1957. They eventually settled in Hopkinton, NH and lived there for 40 years. Charity was a cosmetologist and worked for many years at the Village Beauty Salon in Contoocook, NH. Family was extremely important to Charity, especially her four granddaughters. She was extremely proud of them. Charity loved getting a coffee and going to Target with Sarah-Ellen and Emily. She also enjoyed walking along the beach, reading, yoga, knitting and sewing.

Charity is predeceased by her parents and her two brothers Jack and Frank and by Leighton in 2007. She is survived by her daughter Mary, her husband Andrew and their daughters Sarah-Ellen and Emily; her son Paul, his wife Erin and their daughters Addie and Quinn. Charity is also survived by her sister Jill Lucas, cousins, nieces and nephews.
