When word of Charlie's passing reached us; a flood of pleasant memories from a gentler past filled our minds.  Sailing on Northwood Lake, gatherings at Christmas and Thanksgiving.  We are sure he has a pair of hockey skates, a set of clubs, possibility a snowmobile, and, of course, a red, stick shift Corvair convertible with white leather.  Our condolences to the family. Charlie-you came into our lives 30+ years ago.  I will always remember you getting bombarded by water balls 10 years ago when we held our first 4th of July party at the house!  It was payback for dunking me off the raft in the pool!!  Then picking at the turkey as soon as it came out of the oven to make sure it was nice and moist! Sitting in the easy chair in the barn to watch the baseball game and then falling asleep...too many wonderful memories to list.  You made mom very happy and you will be greatly missed.

I was sad to read of Charlie's passing. I will miss the the chats about the optical world both past and present. I also will miss seeing you at the Gas Lighter, I think they should put a chair and table with your name on it. I know you are in a better place. Rest in piece my friend.

I am so sorry to hear about Charlie's passing. I so enjoyed our chats and seeing Charlie working or chatting with other neighbors and friends in the yard. I do know that the past year or so has been very difficult with Charlie's declining health. Charlie was a special man and I will treasure our conversations. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with all of the family.

My most fond memories of Uncle Chuck was skating with him at White's Park and watching the Bruins games, Bow didn't have cable and I was so excited to go to the Sweeney's house! Uncle Chuck will be missed.

I can't help but smile when I think of Dr. Sweeney. I have fond memories of being on the boat at Northwood Lake, and being a young observer with Trish at parties in Bow and Concord. He had a profound impact on his daughters which in turn had an impact on me.

Dr. Sweeney was my eye doctor.  He fit me with my first contact lenses.  I seemed to be going through a lot of saline solution and he asked me if I was drinking it!  I loved seeing him in his Buick driving around town and he always remembered me.  He had a special place in my heart because he called me "K-K", although he never knew that was my childhood nickname.  My condolences to you Pauline and your family.

Our deepest sympathies to the family. Charlie was a kind, and happy guy, who was always great to family.He will be missed by all who knew him. He would always say Hi Cuz to my Mom!

Dr. Sweeney will always be with us as we ponder several of his many interests.  His thoughts and quips about sports - all sports - from hockey to golf, come to mind. Friends will recall his funny insights on a variety of topics including local politics and world issues. Born with the gift of blarney, people have simply enjoyed being around him. And his love and pride for his family has meant so much to them and is eveident to everyone else around them.

Chuck was a good guy.  I'm sad to learn of his passing.  One could always get a "hi pal" and a good story out of him, without much prompting.  Chuck is in my prayers, as is his family.

Tricia and Joanne, I am thinking of you and praying for all of you.  I am smiling at all the memories we had together and how wonderful your dad was to us.  He made it all so fun.
