Dennis Lunderville, 67, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, October 12 at Concord Hospital. He was born and raised in Attleboro, Massachusetts, son of the late Joseph and Wanda (O’Gara) Lunderville. He received a degree in meteorology from Belknap College in 1968, and took pride in his 21 year career with the Air Resources Division of the NH Department of Environmental Services, where he retired as Director of the agency.
Dennis was an avid golfer and gardener, and enjoyed sharing his harvest with friends and family. He has spent the last thirty-eight years in the home he shared with his wife and raised his children, in a neighborhood that he loved, amongst friends who will miss him, and not just because of the free veggies.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Mary Lunderville, his daughter and son-in-law Melissa and Roger Desroches of Pelham, N.H., his son and daughter-in-law Douglas and Kristin Lunderville of Adamstown Maryland, five loving grandchildren, and his brother, Joseph Lunderville of Attleboro, Massachusetts.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, October 16 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. with a memorial service at 6:00 P.M. at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 North Main Street, Concord.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may made to the American Diabetes Assn. 10 Speen Street, 2nd Floor, Framingham, Massachusetts 01701 or to the charity of one’s choice.
The Bennett Funeral Home of Concord is in charge of the arrangements.
