Dennis Robert Soucy

Born in Manchester, NH, on May 24, 1951, to Anne (Steckowyck) Soucy and George Soucy, Dennis grew up with a deep appreciation for humor, hard work, and the simple joys of life. A proud graduate of Memorial High School’s Class of 1969, he went on to serve his country honorably in the U.S. Army.

For more than 40 years, Dennis worked as a truck driver for HP Hood Company, traveling the highways of the Northeast. He took pride in his work and cherished the friendships and stories that came from a life on the road. Outside of work, Dennis was an active member of the American Legion in both Concord and Manchester and was involved with the New Hampshire Republican Party.

Dennis had a lifelong love of the outdoors and could often be found camping or fishing, finding peace in nature’s quiet corners. Music was also one of his great joys—especially the sounds of the 1960s. He was a proud attendee of Woodstock and a devoted fan of The Beatles, The Byrds, and Neil Sedaka’s “Carol,” a song that held special meaning throughout his life.

Above all, Dennis will be remembered for his sharp wit, infectious sense of humor, and his deep love for family. He was a devoted husband, father, “Pepere,” and uncle who brought warmth and laughter to every gathering.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Carol (Stebbins) Soucy; his sons, Daniel Soucy of Indianapolis, IN; Andrew McDonald of Manhattan, NY; and Matthew McDonald of Boston, MA; his brother, Ronald Soucy; and his sister, Linda (Soucy) Provost. He also leaves behind three grandsons—Keyden, Rio, and Mack Soucy—along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family who will miss him dearly.

Dennis’s humor, kindness, and spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 5–7 p.m. at Bennett Funeral Home, Concord. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, October 23, at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Concord, followed by burial at 1 p.m. at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen.
