Ed was born in Brooklyn, New York on November 24, 1949, the son of Hebert and Florence (Spring) Brown.
Ed was retired from Everett J. Prescott where he worked as a purchasing agent for 30 years.
Ed loved to read. His passion was spending time with his wife on his Harley and boat. They spent summers boating on Lake Winnipesaukee with their W.A.M family. He loved being outside in his yard. Ed's biggest passion and love was caring and spending time with his "girls" his three granddaughters, Mikayla Lee (13), Ciara Dionne (10) and Jada Shante (9).
Ed was predeceased by his parents and his aunt, Barbara (Brown) Carder Engheben, who raised him.
Members of his family include his loving wife of 45 years, Cynthia (Whitney) Brown; daughter, Christine (Brown) Walker and her husband, Gary Walker; three granddaughters, Mikayla, Ciara and Jada. Ed was one of nine children with his closest relationship being his oldest sister, Florence Korpi and her husband, David Korpi of Florida. He is also survived by many cousins having a special relationship with his "sister" Deanna (Carder) Goonan Morrison and his "brother" Karl "Butch" Brown as well as several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 3pm to 5pm at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 North Main Street Concord. A memorial service officiated by Rev. Trevor Jones will immediately follow at 5pm. Burial will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Edward's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or a children's cancer foundation of your choice.
