Born in Concord, she was the daughter of Henry S. and Josephine (Searle) Donovan.
Elizabeth was a 1938 graduate of St. John’s High School in Concord. She went on to graduate from Plymouth Teaching College.
For 35 years, she worked as a school teacher at the Walker School in Concord, retiring in 1983.
She was a member and past President of BPW in Concord. She enjoyed spending time at the family camp in Moultonborough on Lake Winnipesaukee for 50 years with family and friends.
Survivors include her husband Karl S. Adams of Concord; her son Karl H. Adams of New England; three grandchildren, Kiersten Adams, Huntington Adams and Jaeger Adams all of New England; and 8 nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 9, 2011 from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm at the Church Street chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main Street, Concord.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 10, 2011 at 1:30pm at St. John the Evangelist Church, 72 S. Main Street, Concord. Interment will take place at Blossom Hill Cemetery in Concord.
