

She was born in Portland, Maine the daughter of Arthur E. and Frances Ek. She was a graduate of Portland High School and Westbrook Jr. College. She was employed by the Guy Gannett Publishing Company before marrying Philip A. Johnson of Sebeka, MN and moving to Texas where Mr. Johnson was stationed with the US Air Force.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband, Philip A. Johnson and her brother, Richard P. Ek of Portland, Maine.
Members of her family include her two daughters, Cynthia McDonough and her husband, John and Kristin Martin and her husband, Glenn; two sons, Peter Johnson and his wife, Lauren and Dr. David Johnson and his wife, Dr. Jeanne Johnson; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and a brother, Robert A. Ek.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St. Concord, NH followed by a funeral service at the funeral home at 4 p.m. A private burial will take place at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery.
