She was born in Barre, Vermont on October 28, 1930. She graduated from University of NH and received and Associates Degree in General Studies in 1977. She was married to Lesley Rawding in 1954, widowed in 1958, remarried to Gordon Westover in 1962.
Erthalder was an exceptional Secretary and Administrative Assistant in various government agencies, most recently in the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF), Gulf Star Yachts, and Wesley Methodist Church. She is a veteran of the Army serving as an AWAC in 1949. Erthalder had a passion for her family, the environment and women’s’ rights. She was a yard sale enthusiast, exceptional Scrabble player, and avid reader.
She is survived by her son, Stephen Rawding, and granddaughter Nicole Blake, her sisters, Caroline Quimbly, Glenda Yeaton and Sylvia Maloney, her brother Denis Towle. She is predeceased by her daughter, Jennifer Elberfeld and brother, Warren Towle; her husbands, Lesley Rawding and Gordon Westover.
Visitation is from 10AM to 1PM on Friday, May 11, 2018 with a celebration of life immediately following at 1:00 pm at Bennett Funeral Home in Concord. Interment will follow at Alexander Cemetery in Bow.
