

F. Douglas Piroso peacefully passed away after a short illness on September 11, 2016 at the age of 75. He was a long time resident of Bow and was a member of the volunteer fire department for many years. He had a love for animals and was a member of the Working Dog Foundation where he brought a larger awareness for the need of protective vests for the K-9 members of the police forces. He moved to Loudon in 2006.
He worked for Angelo's Restaurant where he gained his love of cooking. He enjoyed preparing Italian meals for his family and friends. In 1961 he started Doug's Floor Service and built a successful business. In 1981, Doug branched out and started Brite Magic Carpet Cleaners. In 2002, he was forced into retirement due to health issues. In 2006, he received a donated kidney from his son Stephen, allowing him an additional 10 years with his family. A true family man whose belief of strong family ties was passed on to his children
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Diana (Blaisdell) Piroso, and his 4 children, Doug and his wife Beth, Denise Stevens and her husband Bill, Stephen and his wife Kim and Lisa Tibbetts and her husband Joe. He leaves behind 10 grandchildren Joshua and Ryan Stevens, Douglas and Mark Piroso, Brandon and Madison Tibbetts, Joel, Brianna and Amber Drown and Jessica Piroso.
He also leaves behind his siblings, Joseph Piroso, Carol Plourde, Richard Piroso, Karen Ramsey,Kathy Bryant as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph Piroso and Doris San Souci and his brother David Piroso.
Calling hours will be held at Bennett Funeral Home in Concord, Friday from 4:00-5:30, followed by a celebration of his life at 5:30.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pope Memorial SPCA or the Concord Regional VNA, Hospice House.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Bennett Funeral Home of Concord.
