A Concord institution has passed on. I attended 6,7, and 8th grades on Pleasant St. in the 50's. The candy shop was a favorite place to hang out. George was always there with a smile and treated us kindly.

I am so very sorry to hear of George's death. He taught me how to make change and how to fill out tax forms. I still have my first W-2s, written by hand by him. My thoughts are with you all.

Oh, wow, I'm so glad my mom keeps me informed of news in Concord. I worked at the candy store all through high school.....George and Costa were so good to their employees, almost like family! Many fond memories. Blessings to you and your extended family.

Thoughts and Prayers, the candy store was a favorite place to visit on Friday nights when growing up. It was next to my Father's music store. The roasting Cashews always filled the air around that area. Mr Bart you made many people happy with your trade. RIP.

I have so many fond memories of Uncle George over the years, starting from seeing him at Yiayia's house and on through the years at the candy store as well as at family gatherings. So many people have many fond memories of George and stories to tell. He will be missed by all. My thoughts are with you and your family Mary.
