Geraldine Marilyn Harrington

Born in Concord, she was the daughter of the late David L. and Bertha (Manchester) Pratt. Geraldine was a graduate of Concord High School, Class of 1946, and maintained lifelong friendships with her classmates, affectionately known as the “Chicks of ’46.” These friendships remained an important part of her life through the years.

Geraldine enjoyed a long career with the Concord Monitor Newspaper, where she served as an office manager until her retirement. She also had a deep commitment to volunteering and giving back to her community. For more than 30 years, she volunteered in the library at Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen, beginning at Gerrish Manor and continuing when the facility moved into its new building. Her dedication and many years of service were a testament to her generous spirit and willingness to help others.

She is survived by her son, Michael J. Marquis, with whom she made her home; her stepchildren, Tracey Harrington of Belmont, NH, and Troy Harrington and his wife, Susan, of Laconia, NH. She was predeceased by her sister, Catherine Pratt, her son, Patrick W. Marquis and her Husband, David P Harrington.

At Geraldine’s request, there will be no funeral services.
