WEARE- Gregory Carl Begin, 56, passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2016 surrounded by his close family. He was born in Waterville, Maine on June 15, 1960, the son of Carl and Kay Begin. He moved to West Lebanon, New Hampshire in 1968. After graduating from Lebanon High School in 1978 Greg went on to attend Westfield State College. Shortly after returning from college, Greg reunited with his high school sweetheart, Beth Smith, and the two were married in 1983. Greg was employed by the Lebanon, NH Police Department in 1981. He attended and proudly graduated from the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia in 1991. Greg’s passion was in service to others and throughout his retirement his friends and colleagues with the DARE program and Grappone acted as his second family. When Greg came home from work he was always a dedicated family man and enjoyed spending time with his wife and kids. Dear Begin Family,

While I have not seen Greg for many years, I still have a big place in my heart for him, and all of the West Lebanon Begin family who were such an important part of my life when Greg and I went to junior high and high school. I miss you all and I hope that soon the good memories outweigh the sorrow.

Greg, I will greatly miss our conversations from across the yard and at the end of the driveway!!

The good times --- you walking the dog early in the morning in your pajama pants, and you and I comparing notes about this-and-that ;-)

I appreciate all the times you helped me out, and I'm glad I could reciprocate some times.

If there is such a thing as the "afterlife," I'll meet you there someday and we can enjoy a cigar together. See you then, neighbor! It has been a real privilege knowing you!
