

Born in Franklin, NH on August 3, 1944, he was the son of the late Hollis W. Calley, Sr. and Ginny (Jones) Calley. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Gloria Dawn Calley of 48 years before she passed away on Dec 3, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Skip was the proud owner and operator of The Captains Pleasure a beloved spot for many years, with two popular locations— one on Main Street of Concord NH and the second on Elm St of Manchester NH. These shops were cherished community hubs where many in town(s) looked forward to their daily cigar and friendly visit. Beyond his business, Skip was a devoted sponsor, instrumental in supporting many individuals on their journey to sobriety. He also had a passion for helping the unhoused, dedicating several years to community outreach efforts.
In his leisure Skip found relaxation in fishing, watching football and family trips to Newfound Lake, Story Land and Santa’s Village. He enjoyed visiting flea markets, and attending car shows with friends and family.
Skip cherished the memories he made while coaching his sons in multiple youth baseball teams throughout the years. He also served as past president of the Concord National Little Legue for a few years.
He is survived by his four sons, Eric Calley and his wife Shelley, Todd Calley of Concord NH, Scott Calley and his wife Julie of Laconia NH and Jeremy Calley of Concord NH. He also leaves behind his niece Jodi Christopher and great niece Cami Christopher.
Skip was a proud grandfather to 11 grandchildren, Todd Jr, Arrisa, Joshua, Travis, Dustin, Heather, Caitlyn, Kellsey, Zachary, Rebekah, and Nathan. Along with multiple great-grandchildren. As well as his best friend Steve Cilley of 60 plus years.
