Irene was born September 10, 1928, in Landaff, NH. She worked for the state in various capacities for the majority of her career until she retired in 1990. She was a member of the Boscawen Congregational Church for more than 50 years. Irene enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, traveling, and knitting.
She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Nelson Currier. She is survived by her three daughters Melodye Merrill and her husband Steve of Durham, NH; Linda Hendrix and her husband Jay of Independence, MO; Tammy McCosker and her husband Peter of Hillsborough, NH; and her grandchildren Chris and Andy Moore and Shannon Healey.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, June 24, from 5:00-7:00 pm at Bennett Funeral Home.
The funeral will be Thursday, June 25, at 10:00 am at Boscawen Congregational Church.
