Jacob K. Andy (Jake) was born December 8, 1972 in Concord, New Hampshire to Gary and Molly Andy (deceased in 2001). He was raised in Concord attending local schools and graduating from Concord High in 1992. He enrolled one year at New Hampshire College in the culinary program.
Jake is survived by his father Gary Andy and Step Mom Gail Andy both of Concord, NH; his brother Gary Joseph Andy and his fiancée Tina Deshaies of Concord, NH; two nieces, Caroline and Kate; two step nieces Allison and Molly Waite; his grandparents Joseph (deceased) and Margaret Andy of Washington, PA; Art and Diane Kingsbury of Venice, FL; various Aunts and Uncles, Joe and Marianne Andy of Washington, PA, Art and Monica Kingsbury of Cape Cod; Bruce and Jen Kingsbury of Venice, FL; Paul Andy of Washington, PA; and an Aunt Donna who lives locally; also local family friends George and Deb Roussos; and many cousins who shared Jake’s life with him, taking trips, eating Thanksgiving dinner or sitting around laughing at life.
For the last six years, Jake worked at Concord Hospital in the environmental services department where he recently received a Halo Award for his service. At the hospital, besides his smile and good sense of humor, Jake was also known for baking and sharing his famous white chocolate macadamia nut with Kahlua cookies as surprises for various floors. He enjoyed his fellow workers. Jake also was a regular at Puppy Love Hot Dogs where he became acquainted with many people who became his friends.
Jake was truly a man about town. He loved people and he loved the city in which he lived. He shared his life with his family, friends, neighbors and two little kitties Butterscotch (rescued from an abandoned building) and Goldene.
Jake delighted in music, especially Billy Joel and Jimmy Buffet. He also enjoyed swimming, snorkeling and sunbathing. He traveled to St. John, St. Lucia and Las Vegas.
The last few months were difficult ones for Jake. But through it all he showed people how to live life each day as best as one is able. He will be missed deeply by all who knew him.
