James W Cleveland

James dedicated 3 years to serving in the US Marines, followed by an additional 8 years in the National Guard. He was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans, and American Legion Post 21. James had a variety of careers before retiring in 1991, including working for B&M Railroad, Cleveland Builders, and Franklin Life Insurance Co.

He was a true outdoorsman. He enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing, golfing and bowling with his friends and family.

He will be missed by his children Richard (Cheryl) Cleveland and Sandra (Richard) Kennard; his sister, Gail Lee; his brother, Scott Cleveland; his grandchildren, Kelley, Sara, Crystal, Damian, Ryan, and Matthew; 8 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

James is predeceased by his wife of 56 years Kathy and his daughter Laurie MacRae.

Calling Hours will be held on September 4, 2025 at 11:00 AM with a service at 12:00PM at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N Main St Concord, NH.
