James Walter Ordway

Jimmy was born on July 3rd, 1951 in Concord, NH to Walter Ordway and Ruth Nedeau Ordway. After graduating from Concord High School he would have numerous jobs around town before becoming a licensed oil heat technician. He would go on to be in the trade for over 30 years between Tenney Fuels, Johnson & Dix, Irving Oil and Johnny Prescott. Something he prided himself on.

Beyond his professional life, Jimmy was known for his kindness, generosity, gift of gab, selflessness and his love for his family. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, helping others, working out in his workshop, coaching his sons on and off the field, his dog Caesar and talking about heating systems. Jimmy met his loving wife, Robin at a bowling alley in 1979, married in 1980 and have been together ever since. For over 25 years they called Contoocook, NH their home where they raised all four of their boys. Friends and family will remember him for his unwavering support, his devotion, his drive, his traditional values and willingness to always help out.

Jimmy is survived by his wife Robin Dowdey Ordway, his sons; Shaun Ordway, Corey Ordway, his wife Ashley Hilton Ordway, Zachary Ordway, his wife Erica Bennett Ordway and Travis Ordway. 5 granddaughters; Jada, Larkin, Mya, Rogue and Harleen Ordway. 4 Siblings; Bruce Ordway, Nancy Tucker, Louise Romeo and Sherri Wombolt. He was preceded in death by his parents; Walter & Ruth Ordway, siblings; Warren & Howard Ordway and his grandson Xander James Ordway.

Calling Hours will be held on Saturday, September 20 from 10:00AM - 12:00PM at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N Main St Concord, NH. Words of Remembrance will begin at 12:00PM.
