Jean I. O'Connell

Jean was born in Woodsville, NH to Clara (Trombley) Gallagher and Edward F. Gallagher. She was a graduate of Concord Hospital School of Nursing.

She worked as a registered nurse for Concord Hospital, the Centennial Nursing Home, and several private duty cases.

Jean loved her family and spending time with her two grandchildren. She enjoyed being the care taker of her home and to her family. She enjoyed going to the beach and the lakes, gift shopping, walking, and reading. She was a member of the Guild of the Carmelite Monastery in Concord.

She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Richard O’Connell of Concord; her daughter, Jill Chapman and her husband Chris, of Boscawen; her grandchildren, Liam and Adrian Chapman; three sisters, Rita O’Donnell of Laconia, Vivian Medeiros of Connecticut, Ruth McDowell of California; and her brother, James Gallagher of Goffstown; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will not be held.

A service will be held March 10th, at 10:00 am at St. John the Evangelist Parish in Concord.

Burial will follow at Blossom Hill Cemetery in Concord.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Payson Center for Cancer Care, c/o the office of philanthropy, 250 Pleasant St, Concord, NH 03301.
