

She was born in Manchester on September 16, 1939 a daughter of Leonard and Ann (Smith) Ahern. She graduated from Manchester schools. Following high school, she went on to Nursing School in California.
Joan worked as a Nurse for over 42 years at the New Hampshire Hospital in Concord retiring in 2002.
She was a parishioner at St. John the Evangelist Church where she served on the Parish Counsel and served as a Eucharistic Minister.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and a member of the Women of the Moose in Concord.
Joan enjoyed sewing and crafts. She took pride in decorating her home with her many creations, but her greatest pride and joy was her grandchildren and the time she spent with them.
She was predeceased by 2 brothers, John and Jay Ahern.
She is survived by her husband of 17 years, William P. Reno of Concord;
2 daughters, Kelly Dionne and her husband Roger of Laconia and Stephanie Greason and her husband Jim; 5 grandchildren, Emily and Anne Dionne of Laconia; twin girls, Elizabeth and Isabella Greason and James Greason.
Visiting hours will be from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, January 28 at Bennett Funeral Home, 3 Church Street, Concord. (The brick building)
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 29 at 11:00 A.M. at the Carmelite Monastery, 275 Pleasant Street, Concord. Interment will follow at Blossom Hill Cemetery.
