Judi was born in Newport New Hampshire on 12/22/1942. She spent her early years in the woods atop a horse on East Mountain. In ‘63 she met the love of her life, Bud. The two shared a passion for canoeing and Judi was in the bow of Bud’s canoe for more than sixty years. She was an educator, artist, craftswoman, homemaker, mother and wife, she excelled at all.
Judi was known for her broad smile, infectious laugh, and open-minded kindness. She loved to share stories, swap jokes, and simply be with people. Aside from her two children and grandson, Judi was a surrogate mother, confidant, buddy, encourager, and best friend to countless kids, teenagers, adults, weirdos, hoodlums, hillbillies, doctors, executives, attorneys, scientists, farmers, musicians and scores of other folks. Her door was always open, her living room always full of love and laughter.
Judi was preceded in death by many family and friends. She held fond memories of her father, Jed, her mother, Bea, her aunt Trude, and cousins Tamar, and Ginger. As he was especially dear to her, she thought daily of her grandson Stephen, the light of her life.
Judi had to say goodbye to all her friends and family. She wanted to mention her husband Bud, daughter Debbi, son-in-law Dave, son Jed, daughter-in-law Michelle and so many others the naming ends here so as not to leave anyone out.
Judi wished for everyone to behave within reason. See that, she gave you a little leeway.
