Julia Rabbia

Born in Glasgow, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Jean (Aitken) Knox.

Tony met Julia through a mutual friend while she was visiting the United States from Scotland. It was love at first sight for Tony. Although Julia was initially hesitant, Tony's persistence—and a heartfelt handwritten letter to her mother, Jean, back in Scotland—won her family's blessing. Julia returned to America, and just a few months later, she and Tony were married.

Together they built a wonderful life in Hopkinton, New Hampshire, where they shared nearly five decades of marriage and countless cherished memories.

While living in Scotland, Julia was employed by Nabisco. After settling in New Hampshire, she worked at Gould Hill Farm apple orchard in Contoocook, where she enjoyed being part of the local community.

Julia was a dedicated member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 21 in Concord. She served as a District Officer and was honored to hold the position of Past Department Sergeant-at-Arms for the American Legion Auxiliary of New Hampshire. She took great pride in her service and the lifelong friendships she made through the organization.

Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Monday, July 27, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 North Main Street, Concord, New Hampshire. A Celebration of Julia's Life will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, followed by burial at 1:00 pm in then chapel at the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Julia's memory should be made to the American Legion Auxiliary Granite Girls State, 21 South Fruit Street, Room 266, Concord, NH 03301
