Lorraine was born on June 20th, 1939 in Boston, Massachusetts. She was a proud Bostonian who cheered on all of her New England Sports Teams. She was also a proud graduate of St. Patrick’s Cathedral School, where she made her lifelong friends. Years after graduating, she dedicated her time to participate and make her class reunions ones to remember. She worked in the Boston Area in the early years of her life raising her children. She soon met her husband, Paul X. O’Brien and they moved to Canterbury, NH where they spent their life together. Paul and Lorraine spent their life teaching their children how to be strong, independent, kind people. They enjoyed family vacations and time in their beautiful home in Canterbury. Lorraine enjoyed working and helping those around her. She spent several years working at Friendly’s where her customers became her friends. Upon retiring from Friendly’s, she even had a day named in her honor, “Lorraine O’Brien Day!” Another job that helped shape Lorraine and where she made many lifelong friends was working for the State of New Hampshire in the Department of Safety.
Lorraine will be greatly missed and forever remembered as a friendly face, kind hearted, strong, generous woman who would go out of her way to take care of and help anyone who needed it. If you knew her you loved her.
