
CONCORD – Margaret A. (Evans) Edgecomb, died on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at her residence in Concord, after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Edgecomb was born on January 2, 1944, in Berlin, NH the daughter of the late Ansel Clarke, Sr., and Vera (Milligan) Evans. She was raised in Gorham and attended local schools there. She resided in Boscawen for 27 years and most recently lived in Concord for the past 17 years.
She attended and graduated from Plymouth State College. At the time of her employment, she worked for over 40 years as a school teacher in the Franklin School District, retiring in July 2010. She was a member of the Concordia Lutheran Church, in Concord.
Her hobbies and interests include; baking, gardening and most of all, her true passion was teaching.
Members of her family include; her husband of 47 years, Donald Edgecomb, of Concord, NH; one son, Marc Edgecomb, of Concord, NH; two grandchildren, Cassandra and Christian Edgecomb, of Concord, NH; a brother, Donald Evans and his wife Glenda, of Campton, NH; her brother in law, Charles Blanchard, of Tacoma, WA; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Edgecomb was predeceased by her brother, Ansel C. Evans, Jr. and by her sister, Nancy Blanchard.
SERVICES: A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, March 6, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main Street, in Concord. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, March 7, 1:00 PM at the Concordia Lutheran Church, 211 N. Main Street, in Concord.
