
She will be remembered for her spirit of adventure and caring for her family, her passion for driving her motorcycles, snowmobiles, and antique car, plus a deep devotion to family.
Born in Braintree, MA in 1932. Marilyn met her roller skating dance partner of 54 years, Bob Kaukola, they won several awards together. Married in 1950, they settled in Hingham, MA raising three daughters. Marilyn was supportive and active in the family business before moving to Pittsfield, NH in 1979. There she developed her natural talent for art by painting, tole painting, and all forms of fiber arts. Her favorite times were spent doting on her grandkids and travelling with them. In 2011 Marilyn moved to Havenwood Heritage Heights of Concord, NH. She has enjoyed a rich, active life of making friends, and connecting with compassionate care givers!
Marilyn was predeceased by her husband Robert E. Kaukola and daughter Kathy Belanger. She is survived by two daughters; Karen Belfontaine and husband John, Kim Lewis, two grandchildren; Jason Bixby and wife Felicia, Shilah Bixby, and three great grandchildren Piper and Paige Bixby, and Harlan Pareskeva.
We celebrate a life filled with love and adventure. Marilyn’s memory will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
