Concord----- Marjorie A. Cary, 100, longtime resident of Havenwood Heritage Heights, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2019, with her loving family by her side.

Marjorie was born on April 6, 1919, in Lyndon, Vermont, daughter to the late, Arthur C. and Lillie (Dean) Allard. She graduated from Becker Jr. College with an Associate’s Degree. Following her graduation she worked as a secretary for the Worcester YMCA, where she met her loving husband, Ralph E. Cary, at a Halloween party. She was a loving homemaker, and some years later she was a bookkeeper for Bozenhard Construction.

Following retirement, Marjorie moved to her home at Havenwood Heritage Heights, where she was an active resident. She sang in the HHH chorus and participated in many other social activities. In addition, Marjorie enjoyed reading, knitting, gardening, swimming, cooking and playing bridge. She was known for her delicious apple pies. Above all, spending time with family was most important to her. Marjorie was a longtime member of the First Congregational Church of Concord.

Marjorie is survived by her son, Arnold Cary and his wife, Carolyn of Cheshire, CT; her daughter, Phyllis Payne and her husband, Richard of Norfolk, MA; five grandchildren, Erica Payne Walter of Denver, CO; Tyler Payne of Norfolk, MA; Alexandra Cary and her partner, Kelly Southern of Fairhope, AL; Joshua Cary and his wife, Natasha of Roswell, GA; Emily Smith and her husband, Stephen of Alexandria, VA; four great-grandchildren, Everett, Sullivan, William and Wyatt; and her sister, Ardell Mansfield of Lebanon, NH. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Ralph E. Cary, three brothers, Arnold, Dean and Robert Allard and grandson-in-law, Christopher Walter.

A Memorial Service will be held Monday, December 9, 2019 at 11:00 am in the auditorium at Havenwood Heritage Heights, 33 Christian Avenue, Concord, NH.

A private burial will take place in the family lot at Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury, Massachusetts.
