

Michael was born on June 20th, 1937 in Somerville, MA. He was the youngest of three sons of Forrest D. and Beatrice Cook.
Michael is survived by his brother James D. Cook (wife Marianne) of Concord, NH and was predeceased by his brother, Peter “Punch” Cook. Michael leaves behind his beautiful wife Gail of 49 years and two devoted sons, Jeffrey M. Cook (wife Paula) of NH and Craig Cook (wife Regina) of MA.
Michael was a devoted and loving grandfather to his many grandchildren: Michael Jr., Gunnar , Caylin, Abigail and Samira Cook. He was also a loving and supportive uncle to his many nephews and nieces.
Michael grew up in Reading, MA and spent summers in Scituate, MA. He attended Lawrence Academy in Groton, MA and then attended Bates College in Lewiston, ME. He worked within his family’s printing company before joining his wife in the creation of a greeting card company which they sold after 25 years. In 1986 Michael started a trade bindery for the printing industry.
Michael was an avid sports fan with a special penchant for early Red Sox history. While he had a difficult time remembering where he left the car keys he could quickly and effortlessly recite the entire starting line-up for the 1945-1975 Red Sox teams
In his spare time Michael loved being with his family; especially spoiling his grandchildren, playing golf, walking his Corgi (Daisy) and reading. Michael had a big heart and caring soul. He made friends wherever he went and was a sincere and trusted confidant to many. Michael always reserved a special place in his heart for his wife, Gail, she was his princess.
A private memorial service is scheduled.
