

Mildred H. Lape, 96, of Concord N.H., beloved wife of Ernest M. Lape, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2012. She was born in Lynn, Massachusetts on February 21, 1915. Mildred was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School and J.B. Thomas Hospital in Peabody, Massachusetts where she received her RN and practiced nursing in Peabody and Lynn.
Mildred was a lifelong member of The Church of the Nazarene where she served in many capacities including pianist and choir director. She was devoted to her family and dearly loved her summer home and the people of Beals, Maine, a place where she spent many summers with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, her sister Ruth Parsons of Pembroke, her children, John Lape and wife MaryAnn of North Reading, Ma., Judy DeLong and husband Gary of Bar Harbor, Me, Connie Bone and husband, Robert of Lebanon, Tn., grandchildren, Catherine Choomack and husband John West, Marcy Sanford and husband Bill, Joshua DeLong and wife Maureen, Nancy Lape and husband Patricio Giecco, Ann Choomack and husband Ralph Sciano, and great grandchildren Julia, Jack, Emma, Charlotte and Isabelle.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday, February 15 from 6-8 PM at the New Beginnings Church of the Nazarene, 33 Staniels Road, Loudon. A service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, February 16, at 3:00 PM at the church. Burial will be private.
Memorial donations may be made in Mildred’s memory to Havenwood Heritage Heights, 33 Christian Avenue, Concord, NH 03301 or to the New Beginnings Church of the Nazarene, 33 Staniels Road, Loudon 03301.
