
Nancy N. Bonanno of Concord died peacefully at her home on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at the age of 93. Nancy was born September 26, 1922 in Boston. She graduated from Revere High School where she met her beloved husband Armando S. Bonanno. She married Armando on September 17, 1944 while his naval ship was being repaired after being hit and badly damaged in the Pacific during World War II. They celebrated over 69 years of loving marriage and had three children that they raised together in Concord, NH. Nancy loved dancing and enjoyed being part of various dance ensembles from her early childhood through her senior years when she was an enthusiastic member of the Concord YMCA Line Dancers. She was active in the Concord community where she was a volunteer usher at the Capitol Theatre, a volunteer at the Concord Hospital and an active member of the Catholic Daughters charitable organization. Nancy loved her family dearly and especially loved hosting elaborate holiday gatherings by carrying on favorite Italian cooking traditions.
Nancy is survived by two sons, Robert A. Bonanno and his wife Judith of Sunapee, NH and Sanibel FL, and Joseph M. Bonanno and his wife Sue of Warner, NH. She was predeceased by her dear husband Armando, her beloved daughter Susan, and her younger brother Jerry Parenti. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Catherine S. Bonanno, Jacqueline M. Hudkins and Joseph P. Bonanno as well as great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held in the Chapel at the Veterans Memorial cemetery in Boscawen, NH on Monday, January 11 at noon followed by a luncheon at the Common Man in Concord.
